My involvement within the Communication Arts department has changed
my life! When I first entered Saddleback College two years ago, I
was unsure of what to expect and still had no idea of what I wanted to
do with my life. By attending classes such as Film Production, Film
History, Scriptwriting, and Television Studio Production, my interest in
film and television became a passion and I realized that my future is to
pursue a career within the entertainment industry. The Communication
Arts program here at Saddleback College gave me valuable insight into the
production of film and television and I’ve really had fun and made some
great friends during the hands-on projects. I even took a class that
didn’t transfer because I enjoyed the program so much! As a transfer
student graduating from the Communication Arts program, I was offered admission
to every school I applied to including UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, UC Santa
Barbara, and Chapman University. This could only have been accomplished
with the help of the teachers here in Communication Arts, who gave me the
education, training, experience, and letters of recommendation that made
the difference.
