| THE
APPLICATION PROCESS / ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission to the
paramedic program requires a combination of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
certification and previous emergency response experience. Therefore it is necessary
to obtain coursework and experience prior to entering the program.
ENTRANCE
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School
Diploma or equivalency
- Drivers license
or proof of age
- Current EMT
- 1 license
- Current Healthcare
Provider or Professional Rescuer (BLS) card
- One year of
verified work experience as an EMT - 1 on an emergency response vehicle, such
as a fire engine or private ambulance
- Saddleback
College Matriculation within last two years. Please contact Matriculaton
for testing (949) 582-4970. *Note: you need a Saddleback
College ID number.
