|
Dr. Jane Aloi received her B.S. from the University of Nebraska, and after a hydroelectric plant was put in her study site where she was studying marsh wrens, she began her Ph.D. at the University of California-Davis in 1981. Her graduate work centered on the temporal and spatial differences in algal growth in Lake Tahoe. This involved diving 4-5 days between January and June (brrr!). After her Ph.D., she was the head of the University of Notre Dame's Environmental Research Center (UNDERC) as a postdoctoral researcher for 2 years. Returning to California, Jane taught one year each at MiraCosta College and Riverside Community College, and has now taught at Saddleback for 12 years. Jane teaches Animal Diversity and Ecology, ad Plant Diversity and Genetics, as well as Human Anatomy. Jane also does web work and writes ancillaries for a variety of books in General Biology, Zoology, Botany, Marine Science, and Anatomy and Physiology. |
