About Saddleback College

Since 1968 Saddleback College has served more than 500,000 students and is known for its wealth of academic and career technical programs to help students achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals. Our rich academic traditions and prime location in south Orange County make Saddleback College the first choice for students who seek to earn an associate degree, transfer to four-year colleges and universities, train for a career, and pursue lifelong learning opportunities.

Saddleback College offers over 300 associate degrees, certificates, and occupational skills awards in 190 programs taught by a faculty renowned for its expertise and experience. Study abroad, cooperative work experience, and an honors program are offered for a well rounded study program, and career programs combine classroom instruction with real-world experience to prepare students for the job market.

Of the 110 California Community Colleges, Saddleback College ranks 8th in transfers to the University of California and 18th in transfers to the California State University. Of the nine community colleges in Orange County, Saddleback College ranks first in transfers to UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, San Diego State University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, an second to UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UC San Diego.

Saddleback College’s student services programs allow students to get the help they need when they need it. A full range of counseling, career planning and job placement services, and assistance for students with learning and physical disabilities are on hand daily. On-campus childcare, a fully-staffed health center, financial aid, and services for re-entry men and women are available to students. And for veterans entering college and civilian life, the Veterans Education and Transition (VETS) Center has resources and counselors to support this unique group of students.

Saddleback College is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Our associate degree nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, and our paramedic program is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Emergency Medical Services Programs.
