Special Notice to Parent/Guardians and K-12 Students

Kindergarten Through 12th Grade Concurrent Enrollment Program


Students currently enrolled in grades K-12 may be eligible to enroll at Saddleback College. This program is designed to enhance, not replace, the regular school experience. The student may enroll in courses as recommended by their school principal. Enrollment in Kinesiology (PE) courses is not permitted at Saddleback College. Enrollment is not guaranteed. All concurrently enrolled students are held accountable for all rules, regulations, and guidelines as enrolled college students. The following guidelines are required each semester of enrollment as concurrently enrolled students.

Enrollment fees are waived for concurrently enrolled students in grades 9-12 but students are responsible for payment of the nonresident tuition, student health fee, material fees, and parking fee, if applicable.

Concurrently enrolled students in grades K-8 are responsible for payment of all fees including enrollment, nonresident tuition, student health fee, material fees, if applicable.
  1. Complete an application for admission online unless you are a continuing student from the previous semester. You will received an e-mail containing your student ID and other important information.

  2. Complete a *Special Admission Request K-12 Students (also available in the Saddleback College Admissions Office or the local area schools). The form must be signed by the student, parent and principal and must contain the school seal. A new concurrent enrollment permit must be submitted each semester. Be sure to read the Policies and Procedures attached with the form.

  3. Submit the completed Special Admission Request form to the Office of Admissions and Records prior to the start of the semester. You will be assigned an online registration time.

  4. Utilizing your student ID and the PIN you created in your online appliation, log into the student web portal, MySite, at saddleback.edu.

    Remember: All students must meet all prerequisites for the classes in which they wish to enroll. You should have your prerequisites cleared at least two weeks before your registration date. Visit the Matriculation Office homepage for further information.

  1. Fill out a *Special Admission Request K-12 Students (also available in the Saddleback College Admissions Office or local area schools). This form must be signed by the student, parent, and school principal. A new concurrent enrollment permit must be submitted each semester.

  2. At the first class meeting request the signature of the professor on the Special Admission Form.

  3. Obtain an Add Permit Code from the Instructor if permission is given to add the class.

  4. Bring the completed Special Admission Request form and the Add Permit Code to the Office of Admissions and Records in the Student Services Center Room 102.

  5. Complete an application in the Office of Admissions and Records. You may complete the online application if you are 13 years of age or older. Otherwise complete the paper application.

  6. Submit all forms to an Admissions Clerk for processing and enrollment.
