Professor Harris joined Saddleback College in Spring of 2006. Her responsibilities include teaching Introduction to Psychology courses. She has a background in neuropsychological evaluation and research with Alzheimer's disease patients, having held a position as Research Associate in the Institute for Brain Aging and Dementia at UC Irvine. Some of her other interests in the field of psychology include cultural differences in memory and aging, health psychology, and meditation for the relief of chronic pain and anxiety.
Prior to attending graduate school for her M.A., Ms. Harris was an Ocean Lifeguard and Junior Lifeguard Instructor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Her last assignment was on Catalina Island. Ms. Harris enjoys a variety of ocean sports, particularly freediving and spearfishing. She is also a professional musician, and you may find her singing with her jazz trio in local venues.
