Summer Online Training Opportunity for Faculty

Workshop Title:  Student Learning Outcomes Made Easy

Student-Learning Outcomes –better known as the infamous SLOs– have become the new buzzword at college campuses. 

 

What are “Student Learning Outcomes” really?  And, more importantly, how can they help you reframe teaching to better address student learning.

By completing the short step-by-step online workshop Student-Learning Outcomes Made Easy, you will learn a valuable skill that will enhance your ability to successfully incorporate student learning outcomes into your courses.   This workshop is quick, interactive and can be finished at your convenience from your own home computer.

Facilitated by Nicole Loftus, Professor of Sociology (contact information nloftus@saddleback.edu)

Create the optimal hands-on learning experience and bring the community into the classroom!

This condensed professional development class is designed to inform and encourage you to integrate service learning into your courses. Specifically, the class will build awareness and assist in getting started, implementing, and assessing service learning. This easy online format will fit your busy schedule and provide flexibility in completing the self-paced modules.

Please join us this summer as we explore, learn, and share the benefits of service learning with other colleagues in the step-by-step online workshop, Getting Started with Service Learning.
