Maria Mayenzet, Associate Faculty, teaches Working in Film and Television (TA 189) at Saddleback College in the fall. This is an on-camera process course that incorporates script analysis, film technique, film terminology, camera acting exercises, on-camera work and participation in Film I and II projects. Ms. Mayenzet's career has spanned over 25 years working in regional theatre, film and television. Her favorite theatre roles include Frida in Cal Rep's Dreams of a Sunday Afternoon, Nurse Edna in Cider House Rules, Calista in The Fair Penitent at L.A.T.C and the title role in Tamara. Her film credits include Jagged Edge, Proud Men, Dead Sexy, Macbeth and Messenger of Death. Her television credits include Tour of Duty, Forever, Journey to Mars, Mancuso FBI and Murder She Wrote. She has conducted classes and workshops for California State University, Long Beach, Saddleback College and Eckerd College, Florida. Her original work, Women of the World, was a spring offering in the studio theatre and proceeds went to Amnesty International. In November, look for Ms. Mayenzet's next Saddleback College directing role of To Kill a Mockingbird in the McKinney Theatre.
