Concert artist and USC piano professor Norman Krieger will present a master class.  Saddleback advanced piano students will perform. A native of Los Angeles, Krieger is one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation, highly regarded as an artist of depth, sensitivity and virtuosic flair. He regularly appears with the major orchestras of North America, among them the New York, Los Angeles, Buffalo, Dayton and Hamilton Philharmonics, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra and the Baltimore, California, Chicago, Cincinnati, Florida, Hartford, Honolulu, Kansas City, Milwaukee, National, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Saint Louis, San Antonio, San Diego and Syracuse Symphony Orchestras.

Jazz Day with Jazz Singer Tierney Sutton

The Saddleback College Big Band welcome Grammy Nominee Jazz Singer Tierney Sutton to celebrate Jazz Day at Saddleback College. Sutton is a five-time Grammy Nominee for "Best Jazz Vocal Album" as well as for arranging. She was Jazzweek Vocalist of the Year in 2005. For the past 20 years, Sutton has fronted the Tierney Sutton Band featuring pianist Christian Jacob, bassists Trey Henry and Kevin Axt and drummer Ray Brinker. They tour throughout the world and have headlined in recent years at Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl and Jazz at Lincoln Center. For 11 years, she taught in the Jazz Studies Department at the University of Southern California. In 2008, she became the Vocal Department Chair at Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena, California.

Who we are….

Angels for the Arts at Saddleback is a fundraising and support organization for the Performing and Visual Arts at Saddleback College.  Angel members donate their time and talent to raise funds and assist with a variety of arts events on the campus.  The group is led by a volunteer advisory board of directors.

Why we exist…

Angel members believe in the importance of offering a full spectrum of arts to the community, with the college as the focal point.  These events bring together Orange County residents from all walks of life, for the purpose of enlightenment, entertainment, and inspiration.

  • Scholarships for students in Visual & Performing Arts
  • Saddleback Civic Light Opera
  • MainStage Kids Children's summer program
  • Master classes with professional artists
  • Hospitality for guest artist performers and crew

  • Annual Fundraiser

Memberships, contributions or ticket reservations can be made through the Fine Arts ticket office, open from noon to 4 PM, Wednesday through Saturday or by calling call 949 582-4656. In addition to cash and checks, our ticket office accepts VISA or MasterCard.
