International & Diversity Student Council

intl_0.jpgInternational and Diversity Student Council operates to represent the Board of Directors of ASG as well as the motley student population. Chaired by the Director, the council meets weekly with its members; membership is open to any current student of Saddleback College with an interest and sense of responsibility to the council and its goals. The council works to raise awareness and increase support for all demographics of students at Saddleback College. Through exposure to diversity, the council promotes community in the school and seeks to minimize ignorance and differences. With events like an international film festival, an outreach fair to educate the community about the disability services on campus, a financial aid fair, and a peer mentor program, students can explore different cultures and connect with people of all types. The council strives to reduce the struggles of new coming and adaptation, and to increase the extroversion of individual students regardless of their uniqueness.

Meeting Time: Tuesdays 10:30am - 11:3am in SSC 211C

Hi guys. My name is Sangjin Joung, and I am an international student from South Korea. As the Director of International Students & Diversity, this year, I am going to promote awareness of diversity at Saddleback College and to seek better solutions for international students to have better school lives through a lot of communications in many amusing events and meetings that the council would hold. I look foward to see many diverse students at Saddleback College! Please feel free to come and share your ideas for improvements for International & Diversity Students Council.
