Obasi comes to the Gaucho program in 2010-11 after playing his freshman season at Howard College (Maryland) in 2009-10. While at Howard, Obasi was part of a Howard team that finished the season 33-2, winning the NJCAA national title. Obasi played in 29 games at Howard, shooting 78% from the free throw line. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 2009, where he was a First Team All City selection and the MVP of the Valley All Star Game. Obasi is undecided on a major.
