Returns to Saddleback for his sophomore season after playing in one game in 2007 as a freshman. Previous to Saddleback, he was an all-state selection in soccer at Pine Creek High School, where he lettered in both soccer and track& field. Johnston plans to major in kinesiology and his father (Mike) was drafted by the Royals organization after playing baseball at San Diego State University.
