David Slater

Returns to Saddleback for his sophomore season after being a part of the Gaucho program in 2008.  Previous to Saddleback, Slater graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High School in 2008, where he finished with 13 tackles and two sacks as a senior.  Slater is the son of former NFL offensive lineman and Gaucho offensive line coach Jackie Slater, who played 20 years with the Rams and was a 7-time Pro Bowl selection, being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. His brother (Matthew) played football at UCLA and is currently on the New England Patriots' roster. Slater plans to major in sociology.
