Returns to Saddleback for her sophomore season after playing for the Gauchos in 2009. Previous to Saddleback, Fernandez lettered in soccer before graduating from Aliso Niguel High School in 2009. While at ANHS, Fernandez played club soccer for the Laguna Niguel Soccer Club, where she was the defensive player-of-the-year. She plans to major in kinesiology.
