6/22/12: Swim event to raise scholarship funds
The Patrick Moore Memorial masters relay meet and family fun relays has been planned for Sunday, July 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Nadadores training center in Mission Viejo. The meet includes both Masters relay events as well as family fun relays and will raise funds for the Patrick Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Patrick Moore was a Saddleback College swimmer who passed away on July 16, 2009, after being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. His father, Mark Moore, is an aquatics instructor at Saddleback College and his sister, Katie Moore, was an all-America swimmer at Saddleback.

5/23/11: Gaucho swimmers awarded special scholarships
 Some of the Gaucho swim team were honored with special scholarships this past week as Danny Tayenaka, Carolina Conway and Kaylie Lewis all received awards at the Thursday scholarship banquet.
Tayenaka and Conway were both received $500 for the Pat Moore Scholarship, a former swimmer that passed away in July of 2009. Both were awarded the scholarship by Moore’s father Mark and sister Katie.
Lewis Franco was the recipient of the Hutchings Memorial Endowment, supported by Osher. She was awarded $400 at the event.
