Returns to Saddleback for his sophomore season after competing for the Gauchos as a freshman in 2010. During his freshman campaign, Bales made tremendous strides down the stretch, finishing 10th in the state in the discus, recording a season-best throw of 153'10" in late May.
Bales came to Saddleback from Escondido High School where he letter in track & field four times and football twice. He was a two-time All-Valley League selection and an All-CIF selection for discus before graduating in 2009. Bales coaches boxing and Judo and plans to major in criminal justice/political science. |
