Returns to Saddleback for his sophomore season after competing for the Gauchos as a freshman in 2010. During his freshman campaign, Savage was a force down the stretch, finnishing 5th at the state meet in the pole vault and second in the Orange Empire Conference.
Savage came to Saddleback from Upland High School where he lettered in both track & field and cross country before graduating in 2009. While at UHS, he was the captain of the track team as a senior and a CIF finalist in the pole vault with a 3.75 GPA in the classroom. Savage's uncle, Brian, played for 12 seasons in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens, Phoenix Coyotes, St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers while his father, Dave, once ran 1:47.53 in the 800 meters. Savage plans to major in business. |
