Shelby Schmidt

  5'7 Freshman Huntington Beach

Comes to Saddleback from Northern Arizona University, where she played club water polo. Previous to NAU, Schmidt lettered in both water polo in golf before graduating from Huntington Beach High School in 2009. While at HBHS, she was an honor student in the classroom and the defensive player-of-the-year in water polo. Her uncle, Dave, was a member of the Boston Red Sox in 1981, and her grandfather, Herman, was the Dean of Admissions at Saddleback for 11 years. Schmidt plans to major in accounting.
