Coach Fentriss Winn 4th Year at Saddleback
Fentriss Winn returns to the head coaching position he gave up two years ago with the intent of picking up right where he left off. Winn guided the Gauchos to a 49-13 record in two seasons (2003-2004) before leaving to accept the assistant coaching position at San Diego State University.
In his first season at Saddleback, Winn earned the Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year honor after guiding the Gauchos to a 29-3 overall record and a 14-0 mark in conference play. The next season he guided the team to a 20-10 record and a runner-up finish in the Orange Empire Conference. Saddleback reached the second round of the regional playoffs both seasons.
Winn served as the boys varsity coach at Vista High School last season.
