Head Coach Jay Amos Entering 8th season at Saddleback
The Saddleback women's tennis team is under the direction of Coach Jay Amos, who is now in his seventh season as head coach of the women's tennis program. His teams captured four Orange Empire Conference titles during his first five seasons and he was named as the Orange Empire Conference's Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2005.
Saddleback won back-to-back conference titles under Coach Amos in 2001 and 2002, and again in 2004 and 2005. Each year he gets the Gauchos in contention to battle for the conference title, making the race for the title in women's tennis competitive and exciting.
The Gauchos have a tough schedule in 2007 but it should help prepare the team for the conference schedule. The Orange Empire Conference always provides for tough competition.
