Dear Employer:
The employee presenting this letter to you is a Saddleback College student interested in participating,
through the College, in an innovative program entitled Cooperative Work Experience Education.
Cooperative Work Experience Education is a venture in which students, employers and Saddleback
College work together to provide relevant, quality education and valuable work-related experiences
for the student. The college is dedicated to the students and the community that it serves and the
Cooperative Work Experience Education Program is designed to consolidate the efforts of the College
and employers in promoting well-trained, productive employees. The combination of classroom
instruction with related community work experience provides the student with educational
opportunities which lead directly to productive employment in the community.
Following are the ways we are requesting you, the employer, to be involved:
By signing…….. A statement of Learning Objectives indicating that you are in agreement with the
tasks developed by the student for the purpose of improving their job performance
during the semester.
By allowing…….A short discussion visit by the Instructor/Coordinator. At this time the employee’s
measurable objectives are discussed and agreed upon.
By signing…….. A time sheet (which the employee must fill out) verifying the employee’s work
time on the job.
We are requesting your support and interest in participating with us in this Cooperative Work
Experience Education Program. Please read the Statement of Job-Oriented Learning Objectives,
and indicate your willingness to participate by signing this form in agreement with the College.
Please feel free to call the Advanced Technology and Applied Science Division office at
