New Distance & Online Education Students

Are you new to online education? This page will provide you with important information to assist you in successful completion of your online coursework. Just follow the steps to get started!

Have you applied yet? The application and registration process is the same as for on-campus classes. Click the instructions below for more information.
How to Apply
  • Apply here
  • You will create a four-digits Personal Identification Number (PIN). This number is used to gain access to on-campus computers, Blackboard and MySite.
  • Upon completion and acceptance of your application you will be issued a student ID number.
How to Register
  • Registering for classes
  • New or former students who apply on-line receive a Permit to register by e-mail within 24 hours after submitting an application.
  • All students may view their registration times through MySite.
  • Registration times may be viewed by accessing MySite approximately eight weeks prior to the start of the semester.
  • KEEP YOUR REGISTRATION RECEIPT -- IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION SUCH AS YOUR USER NAME LOGIN INFORMATION TO BLACKBOARD STUDENT ID AND EMAIL!

Get started! Welcome to your Saddleback Online Classes. Unless notified by your instructor, you WILL NOT be able to access the class before the start date of the class. Most instructors email students prior to the class starting - so be sure to check your Saddleback Student Email account.

Orientation

Some of our online classes have an on-campus orientation prior to the start date, while others have an online orientation that is part of the course materials on Blackboard.

Students should look on the Class Schedule under the faculty profile (faculty profile icon) for specific information pertaining to each class and its availability.
