Diane Pestolesi joined Saddleback College in August 1995. She has been the lead faculty for Medical Surgical Nursing course for 3 years and for the Advanced Nursing course since 1998. Diane has been an Assistant Director/ Department Chair since 2005. IN 2015 Diane became the Assistant Dean of the Health Sciences and Human Services Division and the Director of the Nursing Program. Her responsibilities also have included working as Acting Assistant Dean, Director of the Nursing Program 2008 - 2009. Diane was the Chairperson for Standard I of the ACCJC accreditation in 2010 and again in 2015.
Prior to joining Saddleback College, Diane worked as a Staff Nurse and Educator at Hoag Hospital where she continued to work in the Intensive Care Unit until 2010. Diane has taught part time for several local nursing programs and has presented nationally about innovative instructional strategies in nursing. Diane enjoys watching sports (especially the Green Bay Packers), biking, hiking, and playing beach volleyball. Diane is married to the Irvine Valley College Women's volleyball coach Tom Pestolesi, and has three grown children, Tommy, Kari and Danny.
