Classes Offered:
Adapted Personalized Fitness (KNEA 1 )

Adapted Personalized Fitness is taught in our matted and weight rooms. It consists of stretching, range of motion exercises, balance, gait and mobility training, cardiovascular exercises and strengthening.
Adapted Water Exercise and Swimming (KNEA 2 )
Adapted Water Exercise and Swimming consists of mobility, balance and gait training, strengthening, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility and range of motion exercises, seated and standing transfers, and modified swimming instruction. These classes are taught on campus and use both the 25 yard ramped pool and 50 meter seated lift pool. Pool temperatures range from 85 degrees in 25-yard pool to 80-81 degrees in 50-meter pool.
Mild Water Exercise (KNEA 2X)

This class is taught at Leisure World. It consists of mobility, balance and gait training, cardiovascular conditioning, strengthening, stretching and range of motion exercises. The class is taught in a group format, however, individual assistance in given to those that need help. Pool temperature ranges around 84 degrees and hot pool temperature ranges around 104 degrees.
Adapted Sports and Recreational Skills (KNEA 6)
This class consists of varied sports and recreational skills. Sports such as tennis, basketball, softball, golf and bowling are offered.
Survey and Assessment of Fitness (KNEA 107)
This class is designed for students with disabilities and meets the AA degree requirement, similar to PE 107. Class consists of testing and assessment of muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, skill-related fitness, and aquatic ability. Workbooks are required for the class. Upon completion of this course, students are guided and advised to participate in appropriate fitness and skill related classes.
