Ed Lopez teaches political science. Previously, he served as a political appointee in the Clinton Administration and as deputy staff director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance. He has written a number of published articles on legal, constitutional, and public policy issues. His work has appeared in academic law journals, like the Journal of Law & Politics and the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law, as well as in the New Republic and on the op-ed page of USA Today. In addition to teaching, he serves as a member of the board of trustees of the North Orange County Community College District and as a budget commissioner for the City of Anaheim.
