This course is a general introduction to the study of adjustment and human relationships, focusing on personality development, interpersonal relationships, human motivation, and the relevance of psychology to social processes and critical development issues. The areas covered in this course will include the following: personal adjustment and growth, developmental theories, personality theories, theories of motivation and emotion, social norms and sex roles, interpersonal relationships, stress, death and loss, and adjustment problems and psychotherapy.
