Professor Alex J. Llorente
I have been employed as a Professor of Accounting and Business Law at Saddleback College since 1984. I began my teaching career as a graduate student in 1978 when I taught PL/1 computer programming at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Unfortunately, since I had accelerated my education and was only 19 at the time, I was younger than most of my students, and found my initial teaching experience awkward. Later that year, I accepted a position as a Tax Auditor with the Internal Revenue Service in Tampa, Florida, where I remained for three more years. In January, 1982, I moved to Houston, Texas to pursue a second graduate degree, this one in Accounting. That summer, I was offered a tenure track position at Brazosport College where I taught Economics, Accounting and Business Law. I taught at Brazosport College until I moved to California in August, 1984.
