This page carries the initial and broadest sketch of a planned Saddleback College exhibit about the history and cultural traditions of the Mission Viejo, Irvine and San Juan Capistrano areas. This geographical boundary may be enlarged or reduced depending on materials available. The page will be updated to reflect the development of the project.

The project will focus on the peoples who have populated this community since prehistoric times until the present. The thrust of such an exhibit would identify and document the history of this small but dynamic community of diverse peoples. Represented in the exhibition will be:
  1. The "Mission Indians" (Acjachemen)
  2. Missionaries
  3. Ranch owners
  4. Non-Indian settlers
