GENERAL INFORMATION

             Check your catalogue for this information. It is your responsibility to drop class.

                    

 Students with a Verified Disability

A student with a documented verified disability is entitled to an appropriate accommodation. Please contact the Office of Special Services in the Student Services Center, Room 113; 582-4885 for further information. Check with me if you have any questions and if you are using the program. There are also tutoring programs for all students. In addition, this course meets the requirements set forth in the accessibility checklist and universal design grid provided by Special Services. The Web pages, video presentations, textbook and class materials used in this course are accessible for students with disabilities.

Assignments

All work must be completed on time. Late work for the Discussion Board and weekly homework assignments will be accepted late for lowers scores. The Project and Tests must be completed as scheduled unless you have verification from a doctor or a hospital.

 

 

Plagiarism and Cheating

Neither plagiarism nor cheating will be tolerated. The web site on this subject is http://education.indiana.edu/~frick/plagiarism/ . I will expect that you will refer to this information if you are not sure what plagiarism is. If detected, you will receive a failing grade for the plagiarized assignment, and you will not be able to make it up.

 

Netiquette and Courtesy

Book Purchase

Your textbook can be purchased from the bookstore, certain web sites, the publisher web site and some local stores.

 

Communication/ E Mail

When you email for any personal issues, you must include your real name (first and last, and any name changes during the course), the name of the class and that it meets online. Put what the email is for in the message topic. Please notify me of any name changes during the course of the semester.  If there is a class assignment question, please ask at FAQ using your Saddleback email address.

 

Blackboard

In order to take this course, you must have a computer with online capabilities. In addition to using your own computer there are computers available at Saddleback College for you to use. Computers are located in the Library and the computer lab in the BGS building. You can gain access to Blackboard at: http://socccd.blackboard.com

 

The Social and Behavioral Science office is located in BGS 314.
