Course description

This course is designed to give you an understanding of basic concepts in normal human physiology using an integrated systems approach, with emphasis on homeostatic mechanisms and interactions. Discussions will relate physiology to concepts in physics, chemistry, anatomy, pharmacology and pathophysiology. Laboratory exercises are designed to give you an understanding of clinical application of principles discussed in lecture. Web site tutorials, practice quizzes, and assignments will be used to supplement the coursework and to enhance your success in the course.
