Human Prosection
SPSW1

General Information

This is an Honors Class* designed to give students the chance for in-depth, independent study of the anatomy of the human body.  This is achieved through book research and dissection of the human cadaver.  Each student is assigned a specific region to research and dissect.  Students spend three hours per week of laboratory time in dissection.  Evaluation is based on dissection quality and achievement, written and oral presentations to faculty and students, as well as hours spent at dissection.  A background in college biology course work is recommended.  Completion of Biology 11 (Human Anatomy) with a grade of A and recommendation of your anatomy instructor is required for consideration.  Enrollment is limited and only with prosection instructor approval (pink card at first class meeting.)

*Honors Classes are part of the Honors Program offered at Saddleback College.  See your Schedule of Classes for further information on the Honors Program.

Fall 2000 selections have not yet been made. Please contact Dr. Iacino if you are interested in the course.
