Math Department Scholarship

Criteria for scholarship recipient:

· 3.75 GPA in mathematics classes at Saddleback College

· Completion of Math 3A and Math 3B at Saddleback College, with a grade of A

· Completion of or current enrollment in Math 3C, Math 24, and/or Math 26 at Saddleback College

· 3.0 GPA for all courses taken at Saddleback College

A committee composed of faculty from Saddleback College’s Department of Mathematics will select the

scholarship recipient. The scholarship is aimed at students who have exhibited a high degree of mathematical

proficiency at Saddleback College. If no candidate for the scholarship is identified, the scholarship will not be

awarded during that year.

The dollar amount of the scholarship and the number of scholarships awarded will be determined each

year by the Mathematics Department, dependent upon the funds available and the quality of candidates under

consideration.
