Make-up Exams. You will be allowed only one make-up exam during this semester, but you will receive only 90% of the exam score.  If you want a make-up exam, you must make arrangements with me, in person, no later than the day of the exam. If you do not make arrangements with me, you will receive a zero for the exam. The make-up exam is usually more difficult than the in-class exam. There are no make-up quizzes or make-up final.

I have a zero tolerance for cheating.   Any student caught cheating will receive a minimum of zero on that exam or quiz and report immediately to the Dean of Math and Sciences. An Academic Dishonesty Report will be filed with the President of Instructions Office. The student may also be subject to further administrative action such as suspension or expulsion from the college. Read the student handout.

Attendance will be taken every day. A student that misses more than 6 hours

of class time may be dropped from the class.  It is the student’s responsibility to drop from

the class.  The last day to drop without a W is September 23, 2011.  The last day to drop with a W is November 3, 2011.  Any student that sleeps in class will be marked absent for the day.

Only a scientific calculator will be allowed during the exams and quizzes.  Absolutely no other electronic devices, such as palm pilots and cell phones, are allowed in class.   No graphing calculators are allowed. Sharing calculators is not allowed during exams or quizzes.
