Students set up, introduce organisms, monitor, record, analyze and adjust their own assigned project tanks using our aquarium facility located on campus, steps away from the classroom in the Aquarium Science Lab

Back scenes tours and workshops at several local public aquariums and aquaculture facilities provide a glimpse of the working environment, the captive care and research and promotes students interactaction with working
aquarists and life support technicians.

Workshops and lab activities are scheduled at nearby collaborating facilities and provides an excellant opportunity to engage in techniques and skills in a real working environment along side aquaculture technicians and aquarists.

Here on campus, using our own facility, workshops, such as: tank set up & maintenance, coral propagation and animal capture & handling, etc... promote student leaning by actively engaging in the techiques and reinforces good aquatic husbandry skills and informs them of conservation.

Expansion into the adjacent greenhouse allows natural sunlight to be used for
cultivating marine algae, mangroves and corals! And more room to develop creative and environmentally friendly, life support designs for fish and plants, i.e.Aquaponics!
