The child development and educational studies department offers a variety of certificates and degrees that are aligned to the current levels of state requirements for teachers of young children. As those requirements continue to evolve, so will our certificates!
Students may choose to complete the certificate choices that were in place at the time they started taking classes, or they may choose to complete any that were developed at a later date.
Students are encouraged to apply for both a Certificate or Degree and a Child Development Permit to increase their career opportunities.
Students are also encouraged to pursue transfer to a four year institution for the completion of their bachelors degree.
Core Courses
All Certificates have the same core coursework after which students may choose a track to specialize in.
