Overview
A study of human development emphasizing physical, mental, psychological and social growth from birth to adolescence.
This course is cross-listed. Students may receive credit for CDES 7 or Psych 7 but not both.
This a great class for anyone who currently has children in their lives, thinks they might in the future, or is just generally interested in people and why they are how they are at any given point in their lives.
This is a Core Class for the Child Development & Educational Studies Certificate and Degree!
This class partially meets Community Care Licensing requirement for Child Care Centers (DS 1).
This class meets the "Child Growth and Development" Requirement for the Child Development Permit.
Typical Assignments
Typical assignments for this course consist of:
- Discussion Topics &/or Short written reflection/application activities (8)
- Observation and Analysis Papers (2)
- Midterm and Final w/study guides
Students must be able to make time to observe children in order to complete the observation papers.
