1. Get your your textbooks
1. Whether you are going to buy your books at the Saddleback Bookstore or order them from another source: Start Early!
Many online text book companies take several weeks to ship your books. Order in time to have them in your hands on the first day of class. This is a very short class so even a few days with out your supplies will put you behind!
2. Have your TB test done.
Remember it takes three days to read so plan to have it done when you can return for a reading.
3. Look at your calendar and make sure you can spend 5 hours per
week in an approved early childhood classroom. Make child care and transportation arragnements if necessary.
4. Complete and submit your alternative site request if necessary.
5. Set your Saddleback (or IVC) email to forward to an account that
you check regularly.
Directions for this can be found Here. Informational class emails are only sent to your school account and you are responsible for all email sent to you.
I don't mind what email you send FROM -as long as you put your first and last name in the email and your 5 digit ticket number in the subject line.
6. On the first day of class Login to Blackboard.
Directions for that can be found Here
You won't have access to class until the day it is scheduled to begin even if you have registered far in advance.
Students who do not log in and participate by the end of the first week will be dropped.
