Jazz Composition and Arranging

Professor Joey Sellers, recipient of the Gil Evans Fellowship in Jazz Composition, addresses the techniques for block voicing, reharmonization, orchestration, phrasing, and historical analysis of seminal composers. The music of Monk, Mingus, Ellington, Shorter, and others is discussed.
