Welcome to Social Psychology: Research & Practice

Greetings! I conduct applied social psychology research with an emphasis on social relationships, risky behavior, and health outcomes. Applied psychology research uses theories and research on human behavior to create and implement solutions for real-world problems. I am also an Associate Professor of Psychology at Saddleback College, where I teach numerous online and in-person courses.

Research: Addresses how social relationships impact our physical and mental health, and deter us from engaging in risky behaviors. Populations of interest include Adolescents living with type-1 diabetes, and African American HIV positive MSM. I am also involved in a new study that uses video game play to improve well-being among the elderly.

Teaching: I am currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA. I am deeply committed to the development of online teacher training in Psychology, and my first full length publication, Teaching Psychology Online: Tips and Tricks For Success, will be available for purchase in 2012.
