Algebra2go

Welcome to Algebra2go. Whether you are attending math class at Saddleback College, taking a math class at another school, or just need to refresh your math skills for a business or science class, we have tools that can help you. All these resources are free thanks to the support of the California Basic Skills Initiative and the Saddleback College Foundation. We have math resources in a number of areas. Whichever materials you decide to use, we would appreciate your feedback. Please let Professor Perez know what you liked and didn't like about these materials by sending him an e-mail.

Prealgebra

Prealgebra focuses on the fundamental concepts necessary to make the transition from arithmetic to algebra. The major topics covered are: arithmetic operations, integers, fractions, variable expressions and equations, decimals, ratios, proportions, and percent, and conversions.

Beginning Algebra

In beginning algebra you master the basic tools necessary to solve algebra problems. The main topics covered include: the real number system, linear equations in one variable, linear equations in two variables, systems of linear equations and inequalities, polynomials, rational expressions, radical expressions, and quadratic equations.

Chemistry Preparation

Created to assist nursing students entering Saddleback college's chemistry 108 class, this page has links to materials reviewing the math skills necessary for entering this class. Main topics include: measurement and unit conversion, and logarithms.

Transfer Resources

We have put together a course to prepare students for math placement exams at four-year colleges. The primary topics include: numerical operations, variable expressions, equations, inequalities, relations and functions, geometry, and probability and statistics.

Study Skills

We are putting together a collection of study suggestions for math classes. Currently we have an essay on how to get the most out of reading your textbook. More ideas will be added soon.

iPhone/iTouch Webapp

If you are using an iPhone or iTouch to view these materials, you may find it easier to use our webapp which is designed especially for those devices. The webapp is currently under construction, so some sections may not be available at the moment.
