Biology 20 - Crescent Bay Tidepool field trip

Class will begin and end at the field trip site.

I fully expect everyone to participate down at the tidepools.  There is to be no lollygagging!

Points will be deducted for slacking, lateness and just plain stupidity!

Directions from Saddleback:

• 405 N to 133 S which becomes Broadway in Laguna Beach
• Right onto PCH
• Left on Cliff Dr (there are two - you want the 2nd one - depending which direction you're traveling on PCH)
  • There's a gas station on the right side (I think it's a Shell station)
  • Pay attention to the one way streets!
  • Parking is first come first served basis.
  • Please do not block driveways unless you want your car towed.
  • Please remember that this is a private residential area. Be very courteous, quiet and discreet in the neighborhood.
• At the bottom of the street you will see the Crescent Bay sign.  Walk down the path/stairs to the beach.  There are restrooms and showers here.
• We will meet here at 8:30 AM.
• If you're late or get lost, we'll be down on the left side of the cove when you get down to the beach between Crescent Bay and Shaws Cove.

What to bring:

You're going to get your legs wet.  Hopefully not your entire body.

• Something to write on (ie. the lab you downloaded) and with
• Old tennis shoes or water socks or water shoes BUT NO Flip Flops!
  • It's rocky and slippery!  Watch your step!
• Food and Water, if needed (but please do not litter!)
• sunscreen
• a small clear container for viewing organisms (rubbermaid, tupperware, etc.)

Others if needed:

• Change of clothes (If you go into the drink)
• Sunglasses
• Hat
