You may use either a previous version of Dreamweaver or purchase the most recent version. California community college students can buy Adobe Web Web Premium for $355 or Just Dreamweaver for $119. You can get a 30 day trial version of Dreamweaver and we also have Dreamweaver available in the IMC lab. cim.saddleback.edu is the master index page for all class sites. Can use either CS6 or CS5 version of the software.
Class Overview
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3-CS6 Dreamweaver is the premier HTML Web Page IDE (integrated developers environment)for creating Web Pages. All my class web sites were created using Dreamweaver. California Community College students can purchase Adobe Web Premium ($355) which includes Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Contribute and FlashPaper.
An advanced course in Dreamweaver. Includes roll overs, flash buttons and text, navigation bars, cascading style sheets, forms, behaviors, plug-ins, templates, and the more advanced HTML, XML and DHTML supported functions. A combination of CIM 278A and 278B may be taken a total of four times.
Java Script-jQuery - cimw 260 This Fall/2013 Will have weekly Web Casts Java Script it the client side scripting language for Web Pages. The new 3 unit class will be offered 2nd 8 weeiks Fall/2012. Class will include several lectures on jQuery. jQuery is becoming the most popular JavaScript framework. |
CSS Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is the future of Web Design, popular sites like Face book and blogger.com use CSS to bring desktop publishing capabilities to Web pages. CSS is relative easy to learn, it is just one step up from HTML, the course CIM272 CSS is offered both online and in class the second 6 weeks right after CIM278A. CIM289 CSS covers all basic components of CSS. Note chapters 3 and chapter 7, the last two chapters covered in CIM278A are offered online in CSS. |

Adobe Fireworks Will Be Offered Spring/13Online Fireworks is the Web photograph bit map editor and Web Draw program. Fireworks is an easy to use IDE (integrated Developers environment) for creating Menus, Hot Slices and roll covers. Together with Flash and Dreamweaver you can easily become a full featured Web Designer. Fireworks CIM281may be offered Spring/2007.Dreamweaver is the premier HTML editor for Web Design. |
Flash is the premier 3D Web animation package. CIM264A. May be offering CIMW 240 2D/3D Web and Mobile animation Spring/2014. It will focus on Flash, Adobe Air, Adobe Edge and integration into Google Sketchup. |
