This class allows students to earn the grade they want. Class will have no written homework assignments or tests. Since, this is a programming class, grades will be based on programming. If required programs will be tailored towards novice programmers. It should be relatively easy to earn a B or C grade. To get an A one must do an approved project or some extra credit. Syllabus has more details on grading. During lecture (7-9:00/9:30) I will be reviewing chapters 1-6, and covering chapters 7-14. I will also review 2 or 3 large programs. 9-10:00 will be group discussion, for discussing extra credit, working on in-class contests or discussing on-line programming assignments, during this time students should write up outline or algorithm on how to solve homework problems.
