On BP 4309
Whereas adoption of revised BP 4309 is in
violation of California Education Code and SOCCCD BP2100.1, and the principles
of good practice for excellence in the classroom by distracting faculty efforts
from students.
Be it resolved
that the Senate rejects the proposed policy revisions to BP4309 and rejects the
creation of new BP 4309.1, 4309.2, 4309.3, 4309.4 for faculty duties and
responsibilities.
Be it resolved that the Academic Senate
requests early inclusion in the process of policy revision and in the creation
of new board policies that affect academic and professional matters.
We further request and that the Chancellor
work in tandem with the governance units from the initial phases of policy
revision and development.
