It is a prestigious student organization involved in community service, academic achievement, and scholarship fundraising. Alpha Gamma Sigma is open to all Saddleback students regardless of major, and involves no academic program. Students receive membership recognition on their transcripts for each semester they are members. Membership in Alpha Gamma Sigma is ona per-semester basis; students must maintain eligibility and pay dues each semester. Students are eligible if they have at least a 3.0 GPA after 12 units at Saddleback College OR for entering freshmen, have a 3.5 GPA from high school to obtain membership. Alpha Gamma Sigma offers opportunities for developing leadership skills as well as forging friendships with some of Saddleback's best students.
