Due to recent immigration and visa changes in other countries, we suggest that you contact the nearest foreign embassy in the U.S. to inquire about visa and travel requirements for visitors from other countries.

Before you request travel authorization from the International Student Office , please check the list below to confirm you have all of the required documents that will allow you to return to United States:

• Valid passport
• Valid F-1 visa
• Saddleback College Valid & Current SEVIS I-20 form with Travel Authorization
• I-94 card (If your I-94 card is removed when exiting the United States, you must receive a new card when re-entering U.S.)
• Proof of medical insurance
• IVC I.D. card & Verification of Enrollment Letter

Please remember that you are required to purchase Health Insurance prior to enrolling for the upcoming term. You may purchase Health Insurance at the Internation Students Office located in room SSC 104.

Students who will will travel abroad during the holidays must request travel authorization four weeks prior to the departure date. students must be enrolled fulltime for the next term before any travel is authorized on or after July 10. Students requiring a Visa renewal are subject to the SEVIS I-901 fee before appearing at the U.S. Consulate.Students may pay this fee on-line at www.fmjfee.com. A visa renewal will require that you request a new SEVIS I-20 form four weeks prior to your departure date.

Upon your return to the United States, it is important that you report to the International Student Office and provide copies of your I-94 admission card and any renewed Passports and Visas.

Traveling to Mexico

Students who visit Mexico with an "unstamped" SEVIS I-20 must have a valid F-1 visa and passport or they will be denied entry to the United States. An "unstamped" SEVIS I-20 is one that was issued to you by our office, but has not yet been stamped by the port of entry officers.

If you have a valid F-1 visa for multiple entries, please take all of your SEVIS I-20s with you when you travel to Mexico. If you entered with the "unstamped" SEVIS I-20, you will be required to go to a separate line (secondary inspection) when crossing the border to the United States. You will be given a new I-94 card for which there will be a fee. you plan to travel to other countries, please contact the embassy of each country for specific visa requirements to enter and exit other countries. You can obtain a listing and information of foreign embassies at http://travel.state.gov/travel/.
