Do I have to install Blackboard software on my computer?

Blackboard software is located on the Web and does not need to be installed on individual computers.

However, to access the course documents from within a Blackboard course, the software used to create the file must be installed on the computer being used. Examples of software that may be required include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat reader, QuickTime viewer and Flash Player. Download Center

How will I know if a course uses Blackboard?

The course instructor will inform you if Blackboard is used and how it will be used. YOU CAN ONLY ACCESS BLACKBOARD IF YOU'RE ENROLLED IN A CLASS USING IT AND THE INSTRUCTOR HAS UPLOADED THE CLASS ROSTER AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEMESTER.
