Also Important to Note!

Your Freshman Academy experience includes Free Tutoring through the Saddleback College Learning Assistance Program (LAP). Located in Village 8-05, unlimited drop-in math tutoring is available 12 hours a day, Monday through Thursday, and from 8am to 2pm, on Fridays. Apppointments for English tutoring can be made at the front desk or by calling (949) 582-4605. Freshman Academy students are expected to make two thirty-minute appointments for English tutoring each week and study in the math drop-in area for at least one additional hour during the week.

Tutoring is an important component of the Freshman Academy. Statistics show that students who use the LAP have higher rates of successful course completion. By joining the LAP learning community, students will find a valuable tool to use during their entire college experience.

Since only a maximum of 25 students can particpate in the Freshman Academy, interested students should call (949) 582-4788 or email Kevin O'Connor, Dean, Liberal Arts and Learning Resources Division at koconnor@saddleback.edu. He will be happy to provide additional information and assist with enrollment questions.
