Earth Science Sentinels
The TERRA (Earth Observing System [EOS] AM) spacecraft provides detailed measurements of clouds, aerosols, and the Earth's radiative energy balance, together with measurements of the land surface and its interaction with the atmosphere through exchanges of energy, carbon and water. These interactive processes present scientific questions of the highest priority to understanding global climate change.

National Ocieanic & Atmospheric Administration
NOAA's Mission is to describe and predict changes in the Earth's environment, and conserve and wisely manage the Nation's coastal and marine resources. NOAA's strategy consists of seven interrelated Strategic Goals for environmental assessment, prediction and stewardship, which are presented here as theme pages for the World Wide Web.
