Learning Assistance Program

Be A Tutor

Students interested in becoming a tutor must successfully complete the application and interview process.
All tutors must be verified, as being qualified to tutor a specific subject by a Saddleback faculty member.
Ideally, students will have completed the courses that they wish to tutor at Saddleback College,
receiving an "A" or a "B".

Each semester tutor training is offered through enrollment in TU 100. Tutors are required to enroll in
this 2 unit Lab course which provides helpful information and teaches the skills necessary to be an effective tutor. Finally, all TU 100 Students and trained tutors commit to a minimum of four hours of tutoring in the LAP each week.
